Young Neuropsychologist Celine Cont Publishes First Dementia Guide

Celine Cont, a 29-year-old neuropsychologist, has co-authored her first practical guide on dementia with Prof. Dr. med. Lars Wojtecki. The book, 'Expert Knowledge on Dementia - Latest Medications and Technologies / Becoming Self-Active', was published by Trias Verlag on September 3, 2025. Cont's interest in dementia was sparked during her advanced psychology course at St. Bernhard Gymnasium in Schiefbahn.

Cont's research focuses on various forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, inspired by her grandfather's Parkinson's diagnosis. She has worked with Prof. Wojtecki at Hospital zum Heiligen Geist in Kempen, researching a new shockwave therapy. The book combines current scientific knowledge with practical tips on effective therapies, nutrition, exercise, caregiver advice, and digital health apps. Cont aims to improve the quality of life for dementia patients and their relatives through understanding and concrete daily life tips. The authors will present their work during a book tour, including a special event at the 6th Schiefbahner Gespräch.

Cont studied psychology at Southern Utah University and Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, specializing in neuropsychology.

Celine Cont's first practical guide on dementia, co-authored with Prof. Dr. med. Lars Wojtecki, is now available. The book offers a blend of scientific knowledge and practical tips to enhance the lives of dementia patients and their families. The authors will share their insights during an upcoming book tour.
