Workers' Radiation Safety Proposal Call for Commission's Attention

In the heart of Viersen, Germany, the traditional Mohernschalen event, a community celebration that has become a staple in Süchteln's event calendar, recently played a significant role in supporting the local inclusive sports club, Special-Fly e.V.

This year, the Süchtelner Karneval 1960 committee, who organised the Mohernschalen, collected funds during the event held in February. The funds were then presented to Special-Fly e.V. during a donation handover ceremony at Franziskusschule Süchteln.

The ceremony was attended by Udo Pöltzig, Marcel Winofsky, Lara Böhmer, and representatives from Special-Fly e.V., as well as the event's local hosts, Nicolai Rattay and Helmut Schatten, who has kept the Mohernschalen tradition alive for over 15 years.

The donation of 1,111 euros will be used by Special-Fly e.V. to purchase a new trampoline, expanding their inclusive sports offerings. The club, which can be found online at www.special-fly.de, puts a lot of heart into its work, operating with many volunteers.

The donation was made to express appreciation for the promotion of inclusion in Süchteln, a value that the Mohernschalen event and the Süchtelner Karneval 1960 committee hold dear. Special-Fly e.V. has been the recipient of such philanthropy in the past, as the Mohernschalen event has historically contributed to various charitable efforts by rallying local participation and raising funds for social projects, local institutions, or individuals in need within the community.

The hosts of the Mohernschälen, Nicolai Rattay and Helmut Schatten, emphasised their appreciation for Special-Fly e.V.'s work during the donation handover, highlighting the importance of inclusion and community spirit in Süchteln.

The Mohernschalen event, with its rich history and charitable contributions, continues to be a beacon of community spirit and philanthropy in Süchteln, Germany.

At the donation handover ceremony for the funds collected from the recent Mohernschalen event, it was announced that Special-Fly e.V. would be using the donation of 1,111 euros to purchase a new trampoline, expanding their offerings in fitness-and-exercise, health-and-wellness, and sports. Despite their focus on inclusion, the club Special-Fly e.V. continues to rely on the support from events like the Mohernschalen, which also emphasizes the importance of science and technology by rallying local participation and raising funds for social projects.
