The Landshut City Library is set to host an enlightening event called "Hands-on Dementia" at its Salzstadel lecture hall on Tuesday, September 9th, and Wednesday, 10th. This unique experience is designed to provide insights into the challenges faced by individuals with dementia.

Taking place over two days, the event will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on Tuesday and from 10 am to 12 pm on Wednesday. The highlight of the event is a lecture delivered by renowned gerontologist Johanna Myllymäki, titled "Prevention in Dementia - Memory loss doesn't have to be fate."

Johanna Myllymäki, a researcher and expert in dementia, will share her knowledge on current research findings regarding dementia prevention and how to reduce risks and strengthen memory in the long term. The lecture will last for one hour and will include a Q&A session, providing attendees with the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the topic.

The "Hands-on Dementia" experience features 13 interactive stations designed to simulate the daily life of a person with dementia.
