In a world where four infectious diseases are spreading rapidly, players of the board game Pandemic must work together as disease-fighting specialists to curve the global outbreaks before the infections overwhelm the world.
Gameplay:
Each player takes on a unique character role with specific in-game strengths, such as the Scientist, Medic, or Researcher. During their turn, players can perform up to four actions, including moving between cities, treating disease cubes, sharing knowledge (cards) with teammates, or building research stations.
To cure a disease, players must collect 5 city cards of the same colour and exchange them at a research station. After each turn, players draw infection cards that add disease cubes to cities, potentially triggering outbreaks if infection levels get too high.
The game includes Epidemic cards that increase infection rates and revive diseases in previously infected areas, making the challenge progressively harder. The players win if they cure all four diseases, but they lose if too many outbreaks occur, any disease runs out of cubes, or the player deck runs out before cures are found.
