Hospital Management Asia (HMA) 2025: A Platform for Healthcare Innovation in Asia

Hospital Management Asia (HMA) 2025, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from September 10-11, 2025, is set to be a significant event in the healthcare industry. With the theme "Quality, Experience & Leadership in Healthcare: Integrate – Inspire – Innovate," the conference aims to foster discussions on key topics such as medical tourism, healthcare system reform, quality excellence, enhancing patient experience, leadership in healthcare, and value-based care with strategic cost management and departmental excellence.

The conference will bring together over 100 speakers from 15 countries and territories, including notable figures like Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Vice Minister of Health, Vietnam, who will deliver opening remarks, and Dr. Lisa Ishii, Senior Vice President (Operations), Johns Hopkins Health System, USA, who will discuss the evolution of hospital leadership.

Two notable breakout sessions are also part of the programme: the "Debate on DRG" session, where experts will discuss the suitability of Diagnosis-Related Group or Fee-For-Service business models in Southeast Asia's diverse healthcare markets, and "The Vietnam Quartet," a panel session featuring representatives from four exemplary hospital systems in Vietnam, sharing practical experiences and strategies for developing effective hospital models.

Artirat Charukitpipat, CEO of Bumrungrad International Hospital, will present a case study on medical tourism, while Dr Saran Intakul, Deputy Hospital Director of Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, will present a case study on the efficient management of mass-casualty events, using the 2024 Singapore Airlines SQ321 turbulence incident as an example.

HMA 2025 will conclude with the Gala Dinner and the HMA Awards 2025 ceremony, honoring outstanding innovations in hospital management across Asia. Guests are encouraged to wear traditional national attire at the Gala Dinner, celebrating Asian cultural diversity and fostering multinational connections.
