Long-Zhu Li, a resilient soul, is once again embracing the comfort of his own place, thanks to his job selling The Big Issue Taiwan. With a heartfelt smile, he shares, "I finally feel like a regular joe again."
His sales base is nestled near the Dongmen MRT station in the bustling city of Taipei. After a tragic workplace accident forced him to the streets, his wife and two daughters sadly parted ways. However, Long-Zhu Li found a glimmer of hope in 2011 by starting to peddle The Big Issue Taiwan. Today, he calls a humble abode his own.
A Bitter-Sweet Farewell
One of the most poignant moments for Long-Zhu Li came in 2017 when a team member, a dear friend, had to leave due to personal reasons. Their bond, forged over years, built on mutual respect, made his departure bittersweet. She was not only a colleague but also shared an age similar to his daughter.
Shattering Records - 300 Magazines Sold in a Day!
The pinnacle of Long-Zhu Li's journey was when he managed to sell an astounding 300 magazines in a single day. The triumph filled him with immense joy and pride.

As the sun sets on his years, Long-Zhu Li wishes for good health and consistent sales, looking forward to a future where he can focus on living life on his own terms, without the constant worry of the streets and the cloak of anonymity.
Despite the job not bringing him the perceived fulfillment he yearns for, the simple pleasure of living a semi-normal life and being able to sleep under his own roof makes it all worthwhile.
