Suspect under multiple accusations following suspected robberies and sexual assaults in western Regina.
A Montreal-based suspect, Christopher Adam Seitz, aged 39 from Lumsden, Saskatchewan, has been apprehended by the Regina Police Service (RPS) following a probe into two instances of sexually offensive acts that took place over the past month.
On April 11, law enforcement agencies were summoned to the 2300 block of Sandra Schmirler Way for a report of an injured individual. Upon arriving at the scene, officers uncovered an injured woman, who revealed she had been sexually violated[3].
A week later, on May 3, officers were once again dispatched to the same area, where it was reported that a woman had been robbed and sexually assaulted. The officers promptly responded to the scene and attended to the victim[4].
Both victims claimed they were in the North Central area when they climbed into a white pickup truck, only to be driven to the area west of Lewvan Drive on 13th Avenue and succumb to their attacks[5].
RPS officers managed to locate and apprehend Seitz on May 8[6]. Seitz has been indicted on charges including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by chokehold, robbery, and additional sexual assault accusations[7].
Seitz appeared in provincial court for the first time on Friday, May 9[8].
Currently, the RPS believes there might be additional victims, and anyone with relevant information that could potentially assist the investigation is encouraged to reach out to the RPS or Crime Stoppers[9].
It's worth noting that while there is no confirmed evidence supporting previous sexual assault charges against Seitz in 2017 and 2018, police records from those years could potentially provide further insights[10]. For access to detailed historical criminal records, one would need to consult official court documents or police records.
