In the heart of Kazakhstan, the National Scientific Medical Center (NSCM) is hosting a masterclass focused on modern technologies and reconstructive methods for correcting critical congenital heart defects and valvular pathologies in newborns and infants. The masterclass, running until August 14, is led by Igor Konstantinov, a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon from the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

Professor Konstantinov, the author and lead instructor of the masterclass, is currently performing surgeries on Kazakh children. These surgeries, which are part of the ongoing masterclass, are free of charge under the guaranteed volume of free medical care and OMS.

During his stay, Professor Konstantinov will present modern approaches and advanced surgical methods for treating complex congenital heart defects in newborns and infants. The surgeries will be taking place at the NSCM and are scheduled every day, with two surgeries planned per day.

The surgeries will be on children with complex congenital heart defects, including Ebstein's anomaly. The masterclass is aimed at pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists, and other specialists involved in providing high-tech cardiac surgery to children at this medical institution.

Amanzhol Kerimkulov, the director of the pediatric cardiac surgery center at the NSCM, stated that their guest will perform 13 surgeries during their stay. The masterclass's theme is "Modern Technologies and Reconstructive Methods in Correcting Critical Congenital Heart Defects and Valvular Pathologies in Newborns and Infants."

This masterclass is an opportunity for Kazakhstani doctors to learn from one of the world's leading experts in pediatric cardiac surgery. By focusing on modern technologies and reconstructive methods, the masterclass likely emphasizes advanced surgical techniques, innovative approaches, and contemporary treatment strategies aimed at improving outcomes for the most vulnerable pediatric cardiac patients.

Science and medical-conditions intertwine as Professor Konstantinov, a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon, presents modern approaches for treating complex congenital heart defects, such as Ebstein's anomaly, in newborns and infants. This takes place during the ongoing health-and-wellness focused masterclass at the National Scientific Medical Center (NSCM) in Kazakhstan, with the intention of improving outcomes for the most vulnerable pediatric cardiac patients.
