The city of Düsseldorf is set to host the winter edition of its popular "Sport im Park" programme from January 7th, 2023, running until April 27th, 2025. This free initiative, expanded by local authorities, aims to offer a variety of sports activities in parks across the city.
Participants can join the programme at any time without registration, making it accessible for all. The winter edition includes activities such as Zumba, general fitness training, intensive fitness training, and functional training, led by instructors like Andrea Moreno, Michael Dürwald, Movement Skills, ZINTM Kristina Bruchmann, Stefan from FitMove, and Vivit.
The training sessions take place at six different parks in the city area, including Schlosspark Eller, Rheinpark Bilk, Hofgarten am NRW-Forum, Rheinpark Golzheim, Benrath Castle Park, Orangerie, and Berty-Albrecht-Park. However, specific training times and locations for each park were not provided in this announcement.
To participate, individuals should wear weather-appropriate sportswear, bring something to drink, a towel, and an iso or sports mat (except for Zumba). It's important to note that the programme does not provide specific details about the training schedule beyond what was previously mentioned.
The "Sport im Park" winter edition is supported by AOK Rheinland Hamburg, #BEACTIVE, Wir sind IN FORM, Playsports, and Stadtwerke Düsseldorf. This initiative is organised by the Sports Department, making it a highly anticipated event in Düsseldorf's sports calendar.
