Spark Dialogue About Informed Agreement
===================================================================
The third installment of the Make Consent a Conversation video series is now available for viewing, continuing the important mission of educating young people and families about sexual consent.
This series, run by the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, aims to equip youth with clear, confident knowledge about consent, boundaries, and safety, addressing misconceptions that may arise from social media and pornography.
The latest video, titled "Let's Talk About Sex Consent, Sex & Staying Safe at Uni," delves into crucial topics such as understanding consent, discussing it before university, and related safety issues. It uses the FRIES model of consent: Freely given, Reversible, Informed, Enthusiastic, and Specific to provide a comprehensive understanding of consent[1].
You can watch the third video installment on YouTube. Simply search for "Make Consent a Conversation" and find the video in their playlist or series.
In addition to the videos, resources are available to help spread the message of the Make Consent a Conversation campaign. Small posters related to the campaign can be downloaded and printed for placement in offices or dorm rooms. For a more substantial selection of posters and swag, the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion offers these items for order, but you will need an Oberlin email account to access them.
For those who wish to show their support for the campaign, it is possible to add the Make Consent a Conversation logo to an e-mail signature. This is a simple way to contribute to the campaign's reach and spread awareness about the importance of consent.
