Reward for regular employees at Mandaue granted, confirmed
As the city of Mandaue prepares to celebrate its 56th Charter Day, a significant announcement has been made regarding the Charter Day bonus for city hall employees. Despite the exact amount of the bonus still being undetermined, a report suggests a reduction to P3,000 for this year.
City Administrator Atty. Gonzalo "Sally" Malig-on Jr. revealed during the media launching for the city's Charter Day celebration that the bonus will be given to all personnel, including regular employees, job order employees who served from July 1 to August 30, barangay health workers, and clean and green workers. This inclusive approach reflects the city's commitment to recognising the efforts of all its employees.
Mayor Thadeo "Jonkie" Ouano, expressing gratitude to the support and cooperation of Mandauehanons, confirmed the implementation of the second tranche of salary increase for regular employees, following the mandate from the Department of Budget and Management. The salary increase for 10 departments was released on Friday, August 8, with the remaining 20 departments set to receive theirs in the following week.
The budget for the Charter Day bonus has been finalised by the City Budget Management Office, but the exact amount and the list of recipients are yet to be officially confirmed. The announcement of the bonus was made during a private Charter Month ceremony in the city.
In a ceremony marking the city's Charter Day, Mayor Ouano endorsed the bonus to the City Council for approval. Once approved, the employees of Mandaue City Hall will receive their Charter Day incentives.
