Reutlinger Echaz's Kneipp facility is now operational.
The city of Reutlingen is now home to a new Kneipp facility, located in the heart of the city. This new addition is more than just a tourist attraction; it's a place designed to improve health and well-being, inspired by the methods of Sebastian Kneipp.
Marianne Schuh, chairwoman of the Reutlingen Kneipp Association, expressed her excitement about the creation of this new facility. She stated, "Water is a source of life," and expressed a wish for many invigorating steps and for the new Kneipp facility to become a place of joy and well-being.
The Kneipp water treadmill, a key feature of the facility, was built by the company Garten Moser, under the leadership of Andreas Keppler, the senior boss of the company. The facility, referred to as a "facility that gives us conscious slowness," has been created to enrich nature and promote holistic health.
The long-cherished vision of a Kneipp facility has become a reality, thanks to the Reutlingen Kneipp Association. The opening of the new facility was marked with dry words, but the significance of the event was not lost on Naram Nikolai Koschel, the responsible project manager of Reutlingen’s urban drainage. He emphasized the importance of the new facility for the city.
Approximately 130 tons of material were brought into the Echaz at the location of the new Kneipp facility. However, the water temperatures in the Echaz were unexpected, as Andreas Keppler exclaimed that it was freezing upon stepping into the Echaz behind the Lederstraße car park on Friday afternoon.
