Former Football Manager Reiner Calmund Thriving After Major Weight Loss

Reiner Calmund, the well-known former football manager and juror on the popular German cooking show "Grill den Henssler," is currently doing very well following a significant transformation. According to RTL, Calmund has lost over 85 kilograms and his current weight stands at 95 kilograms.

The journey to this achievement is not fully detailed, but it is known that Calmund underwent a stent procedure in a hospital in Cologne. This procedure, however, is not elaborated upon in the available information.

Calmund's weight loss is said to be motivated by his adoptive daughter, Nicha, who is 15 years old. The bond between Calmund and Nicha, who he adopted from an orphanage in Thailand, is evidently strong. Calmund described his first meeting with Nicha as a "deep affection at first sight."

During the adoption process, Nicha was reluctant to leave Calmund's wife Sylvia's side, indicating the strong connection the family shares. This close-knit family dynamic is further evident in a recent magazine photoshoot, where Calmund and Nicha posed together.

Calmund's life took an unexpected turn in December when he felt dizzy during the recording of an episode of "Grill den Henssler." The specific condition that caused this episode is not specified. Despite this, Calmund continued his role as a juror on the show until his departure was announced in March.

The current jurors on "Grill den Henssler" following Calmund's departure are Jana Ina Zarrella and Christian Rach, with Bruce Darnell appearing as a guest juror in the recent summer special.

Before embarking on his television career, Calmund managed the Bayer Leverkusen football club. He currently resides in Saarlouis. Despite his past achievements and current success, Calmund remains a humble and approachable figure, always ready to evaluate dishes on "Grill den Henssler" with his discerning eye.
