Regionally-Occurring Sexual Misconduct within Train Services Operated by BPOLI-WEIL
On Saturday evening, September 13, 2025, a distressing incident of sexual harassment occurred on the Amtrak Regionalzug RB 27 from Schliengen to Haltingen. The victim was a 13 or 14-year-old girl, and the alleged incident took place around 18:27.
The suspect, described as approximately 40-50 years old, 160-170 cm tall, with a 3-day beard, wearing glasses, dark blue jogging pants, a gray sweat jacket, and a gray baseball cap, approached the girl at Schliengen station prior to the incident. He had a white bicycle and a black suitcase with him, which he placed in the train. However, no specific location within the train where the incident occurred has been disclosed.
The Federal Police are actively seeking witnesses to this incident.
