In the picturesque region of Kamchatka, traffic inspectors are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of young minds. At the MBOU "Secondary School No. 33," located in Kamchatka, a special meeting was held at a school camp to reinforce traffic safety knowledge among children.

Police officers, led by Major of Police Natalia Zelenkova and Lieutenant of Police Olga Luchinskaya, took the stage to discuss the rules of behaviour near roadways, in transport, and in courtyards, especially near playgrounds and moving vehicles. The main focus of the meeting was on traffic safety propaganda.

The children were informed that riding on the roadway is allowed only from the age of 14. Special attention was paid to young cyclists and individual mobility devices. To cross the road, children were advised to ride to the pedestrian crossing, dismount, cross the road on foot, observing all rules, and only then continue their journey.

The purpose of these lessons is to reduce road traffic injuries among children and reinforce knowledge of traffic rules learned during school. The students actively participated in the dialogue, discussing various traffic situations with the inspectors.

A photo of the event was published on the "Police of Kamchatka" tg-channel, and similar preventive events are planned in all school camps in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Major of Police Natalia Zelenkova and Lieutenant of Police Olga Luchinskaya visited the camp of MBOU "Secondary School No. 33" for an in-depth study of certain subjects.

Despite limited available information about the methods or programs used by traffic safety inspectors in Kamchatka Krai for educating children in summer camps about road safety, it is clear that these events are an essential part of their mission to keep children safe on the roads.

  1. In line with their mission of promoting health-and-wellness among the younger generation, traffic inspectors in Kamchatka used the occasion of a school camp to educate children about the science of traffic safety, focusing on rules of behavior near roadways and in transport.
