Today marks the worldwide observance of World Blood Donor Day. In Krasnodar region, over 5,000 residents have received the "Honorary Blood Donor of Russia" title, which they've earned by donating blood 40 times or plasma 60 times, as stated by Vice-Governor Anna Minikova.
For two decades, this day has brought together millions of people across the nation. In Krasnodar, annually approximately 50,000 individuals step up as donors, ensuring medical institutions have sufficient blood components. Last year, a staggering 109,000 donations were performed, and nearly 58,000 liters of blood were collected, Minikova stated.
