Ongoing Health Drive Targets School Kids During Summer Break

The Summer Health Campaign for schoolchildren is currently underway in Yakutia, a region in northern Russia. This initiative, organised by dedicated individuals, aims to ensure that children spend their holidays usefully and happily, while also providing a new support system for them.

According to Aisen Nikolaev, the republic's head, the children participating in the campaign still have many bright impressions ahead. They are making new friends and acquiring useful skills, not just resting during their summer break.

30 students from the Yakutsk Pedagogical College have passed pedagogical practice as counselors during the summer campaign. These future teachers are actively involved in organising educational and sports activities for the children.

Aisen Nikolaev has expressed gratitude to all those involved in organising the summer campaign. He has also highlighted that hundreds of children have already visited camps, both within and outside the republic.

In the summer of 2025, 1,382 children will be sent for rest and health improvement outside of Yakutia, under the Ministry of Education and Science of Yakutia. This initiative is particularly focused on children from families participating in the special military operation and children from flood-affected regions.

Currently, children from Oymyakonsky and Abyisky uluses are resting in Yakutsk camps. The campaign is designed to restore health, enhance immunity, and ensure safe and active recreation for these children during their summer break.

The "Portrait of a Yakutia Counselor" project is ongoing, with future republic teachers participating. This project forms a new support system for schoolchildren, ensuring they receive the care and guidance they need during this crucial period.

While specific details about the objectives and services offered in Yakutia’s 2025 campaign are not yet available, it aligns with the typical scope of health and physical development programs for schoolchildren in similar contexts. These programs often focus on improving the physical and mental well-being of vulnerable children during the summer period, providing comprehensive health support including preventive medical examinations, nutritional support, and psychological assistance.

For more detailed information about the exact objectives and specific services offered in Yakutia’s 2025 campaign, it would be necessary to consult official Russian regional government or health ministry announcements or local Yakutian news sources closer to or during 2025.
