Hey there! So, the joint detention facility in Zweibruecken, JVA Zweibruecken, is gonna be a cool place for moms who are doin' time. The big boss, Jürgen Buchholz, told the German Press Agency (dpa) that it's all about kid's welfare, always.

Seems like they're gonna put up a new building by 2027, packin' space for five mamas with their kidlets. But right now, they ain't got no shared digs for them in there.

This new housing situation is for babies less than a year old. But when the kiddo grows older, say two or three, they'd wanna play outside or hang with the other kiddos. That kinda fun isn't possible in a cell block.

They're keepin' things tight with the kid's well-being in mind. The youth welfare office has to be on board with the shared livin'. "The sentence ain't too long," said Buchholz, the kid should be outta there by their first birthday at the latest.

Seems like they already got some stuff goin' on for moms with kiddos, but no shared shack to call home. They got a plan for after the 12-month mark, "but it's still too vague to spill the beans just yet."

They're aimin' to help out ladies from both Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland. "We shared our cells with the Saarland peeps," said Buchholz. Plus, there's a section for social therapy in the works for the new building too. That plan's on the drawing board right now.
