Medical professionals have conducted examinations on 400 residents from the Verhoyan district
In the far-eastern reaches of Russia, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has deployed a mobile medical complex to bring essential healthcare services to remote and distant villages. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has reported details about this innovative initiative.
This mobile complex, mounted on a "KAMAZ" truck, is not limited to serving nearby villages but extends its reach to the most remote areas. Equipped with ultrasound and colposcope facilities, obtained through the national project "Longevity and Active Lifestyle," the mobile complex is a comprehensive healthcare solution for the region.
The built-in laboratory allows for immediate delivery of test results, expediting diagnosis and treatment. During the 19 trips made from January to July, a total of 1697 laboratory tests were conducted, and 491 district residents were examined.
The mobile medical complex is operated by doctors from the Verkhoyansk Central District Hospital, led by Chief Physician Vladimir Doktov, who emphasises the goal of providing high-quality on-site assistance, screening, and preventive care. The mobile team consists of therapists, pediatricians, surgeons, gynecologists, neurologists, and ophthalmologists, ensuring a broad range of medical services.
In addition to its primary role, the mobile complex is also used for population vaccination. Remarkably, during these trips, medical professionals identified various diseases in 20 Yakutians for the first time, highlighting the importance of this service in remote areas.
The mobile medical complex represents a significant step towards ensuring continuous medical coverage, improving health outcomes, and reducing the need for patients to travel long distances to central hospitals in the extreme Arctic environment of Verkhoyansk. For the residents of these remote villages, this mobile complex brings hope for better access to quality healthcare.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) continues to report details about the mobile medical complex's operations, including the performance of 2167 fluorographies. For more precise details about this specific mobile medical complex, further targeted sources or direct information from the Verkhoyansk Central District Hospital or the Republic of Sakha health authorities would be required.
