Medical Center in Vladivostok took part in a charity initiative

Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No.2, also known as the "Thousand-Handed," has recently been a recipient of support from VTB Bank's charitable program, 'World Without Tears.' For over 22 years, this program has been providing assistance to hospitals across Russia, including five medical institutions in Primorye.

Igor Kuvykin, the head of VTB in the Primorsky Krai, expressed hope that the support provided will help preserve the life and health of many young Primorye residents. The hospital's chief physician, Oxana Lakovkina, expressed satisfaction with the hospital's participation in the program, stating that medical assistance will be provided at a high level.

During the event, children had the opportunity to watch an educational show about financial literacy, featuring characters Alixa the Fox and Basil the Cat from the TV show "Good Night, Little Ones!" (0+). The event also included a performance by these beloved characters, as well as an opportunity for children to take a photo with the robot Aitisha.

The hospital received new equipment for its intensive care and therapy department, pediatric orthopedic-traumatology department, and a convection heating device. A new artificial ventilation device (IVL) was installed in the intensive care and therapy department, capable of respiratory support for patients of all ages, including adults, children, newborns, and premature babies.

Specialized wheelchairs were purchased for the pediatric orthopedic-traumatology department, allowing children with temporary fractures to remain mobile. The department head, Vasily Pavlov, stated that a device for regulating patients' body temperature with warm air was purchased for the intensive care and therapy department.

The bank's management presented the chief physician with a symbolic certificate for the purchase of necessary equipment, which had already been purchased, installed, and is in use. The chief physician noted that the specialized wheelchairs have been beneficial for the comfort and mobility of the hospital's young patients, their parents, and the medical staff.

Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No.2 is a multi-profile hospital and a level I trauma center, accepting patients from throughout the Primorsky Krai. The main profiles for which children are treated at the hospital include traumatology, neurosurgery, toxicology, pediatric infection, and intensive care. The hospital's specialists take responsibility for the care of children in critical condition.

The 'World Without Tears' program, which has been ongoing for over 22 years, aims to improve healthcare services by providing necessary equipment and resources to hospitals. While the specific impact on the intensive care, therapy, and pediatric orthopedic-traumatology departments at Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No.2 is yet to be fully assessed, it is clear that the hospital stands to benefit greatly from this charitable initiative.

Science plays a crucial role in the new equipment purchased for Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No.2, as the hospital's intensive care and therapy department now possesses an advanced artificial ventilation device (IVL) for respiratory support of patients across all age groups. Medical-conditions, particularly those affecting children, can be effectively managed at this hospital due to the high-level assistance provided and the partnership with the 'World Without Tears' program, which supports health-and-wellness initiatives across Russia.
