The Regional Steering Alliance (RSV) Landshut, formerly known as the Psychosocial Working Group (PSAG), is marking its 50th anniversary this year. Established half a century ago, the RSV has been a driving force in mental health care in the Landshut district.
On June 17, 2025, the RSV held its first annual general meeting, where key figures from local outpatient and inpatient aid providers gathered for regular exchange. The board and working groups of the RSV Landshut are composed of specialists and representatives from the city and district of Landshut.
The RSV's mission is to expand aid offers in the region through collaboration with local providers. They aim to propose improvements and expansions for the regional care structure, shortening or avoiding inpatient treatment through outpatient care and counseling. The RSV regularly exchanges with responsible cost bearers to drive the expansion of aid offers.
During the psychiatry investigation anniversary celebration in June 2025, Tobias Zitzelsberger, a key figure in the PSAG Deggendorf and scientific employee at the Technical University of Deggendorf, delivered a guest lecture on "Social Work in the Course of Time - Social Psychiatry and Professional Stand". The lecture addressed the professional development of social psychiatry.
Mental health perception has shifted in recent years, but challenges in mental health care remain. To address these challenges, the RSV is planning an inaugural event and three action days in October to honor the Psychiatry Enquiry.
The action days will take place at the Kinopolis Landshut and the Salzstadel. Films dealing with mental problems will be shown at the Kinopolis, and the play "All That Beauty" will be presented at the Salzstadel.
Deputy District Administrator Fritz Wittmann emphasized the importance of mental health in society, stating that the RSV's work is crucial in addressing the ongoing challenges in mental health care.
The working groups "Addiction Help", "Children and Youth", "Children of Mentally Ill Parents", and "Community Psychiatric Alliance" provided activity reports during the annual general meeting.
However, the name of the head of PSAG Deggendorf who gave the guest lecture during the psychiatry investigation anniversary celebration in June 2025 is not available from the provided search results.
Dr. Kathrin Dornes was elected as the first chairwoman of the Regional Steering Alliance, marking a new chapter in the RSV's jubilee year. The RSV continues to strive for improvements in mental health care and looks forward to another 50 years of service.
