During his remarks, he confirmed the classification and benefit system for the July fighters, who played a significant role in the country's struggle for independence.

The July fighters are categorized into three main groups, each with specific allowances, one-time grants, and free treatment benefits.

  • Category 'B' July fighters, the seriously injured, will receive a one-time grant of Tk 3 lakh and a monthly allowance of Tk 15,000. They will have the same benefits as Category A, but without the priority in government jobs.
  • Category 'C' July fighters, the moderately injured, will receive a one-time grant of Tk 1 lakh and a monthly allowance of Tk 10,000. They will have the same benefits as above, but with no direct mention of priority jobs for the injured.

In addition to the allowances, all July fighters will receive identity cards and certificates as recognition. They are also entitled to free lifelong treatment at government hospitals. Rehabilitation support and priority government or semi-government employment are part of the benefits, especially for the injured and martyrs’ families.

Furthermore, there is provision for changing categories based on medical reassessment by the Ministry of Health. The government aims for direct fund transfer to beneficiaries' accounts, facilitating quicker disbursement.

Faruk-e-Azam emphasized that Bangladesh will always remember the July uprising participants with respect for their sacrifices. He stated that the government and people of Bangladesh will always honor the sacrifices made during the July uprising.

Moreover, a separate department has already been established for the rehabilitation of July warriors, and at least 20 officers, led by an additional secretary, are working on the issues related to the interests of the July fighters.
