Infant's Death in Yakutsk Sparks Investigation, Chairman Demands Report
The death of an infant in Yakutsk has sparked an investigation, with Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of Russia's Investigative Committee, demanding a report. The child's mother blames inadequate medical assistance for the tragedy.
On January 27, the child exhibited a light cough. The next day, treatment was prescribed, and a chest X-ray ordered. However, the results were not ready by January 29. The child's condition deteriorated, and an emergency response team refused to attend to the call. Konradenko V.V. has been tasked to submit a report on the investigation's progress and the circumstances surrounding the child's death.
A criminal case has been opened under part 2 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, alleging negligence leading to the child's death.
The child's mother believes improper medical assistance contributed to the death. Authorities are investigating, with Bastrykin demanding a report to ensure accountability and provide official information on the case.
