Michigan Man Charged with Child Sex Abuse Material Offenses

Michael Cristini, a 61-year-old resident of Warren, Michigan, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts related to the possession and distribution of child sexually abusive material. The charges, announced by the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office on Friday, are considered some of the most serious offenses under the law involving the exploitation of children.

According to court records, Cristini was arraigned at the 37th District Court in Warren on Friday. He faces a total of thirteen charges, including three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material (each a 10-year felony), three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, and six counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

The prosecutor's office alleges that Cristini possessed and shared the material around May 6, 2025. If found guilty, he could face a significant prison sentence.

Cristini's bond was set at $500,000 cash or surety. If released, he will be subject to several conditions, including a prohibition on using the internet or computers, possessing weapons, drugs, or alcohol, and the requirement to wear a GPS tether.

A probable cause conference for Cristini is scheduled for August 15, 2025, followed by a preliminary examination on August 21, 2025. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, located in Warren, stated that these charges are among the most serious concerning the exploitation of children.
