Ilana Glazer discussing Garnier collaboration, her Broadway debut, and success in NYC.
Ilana Glazer, an actress and comedian, recently sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss her latest partnership with beauty brand Garnier, as well as her work on Broadway and motherhood.
Glazer, known for her humor and versatility, continues to entertain audiences with her Human Magic special on Hulu, appears in a Tony-nominated show, navigates motherhood, and manages to find time to remove her makeup at the end of the day. But how does she unwind?
Simply by "de-glazing." This term, only coined by Glazer as part of her new collaboration with Garnier, is reflected in their recent introduction of the Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Purifying with Salicylic Acid. This simplified skincare solution is intended for those who prefer not to spend 45 minutes removing their eyeliner.
We spoke with Glazer about the campaign, her Broadway role, and sharing a stage with George Clooney. Clooney, it turns out, is funnier than one might think. Read the full interview here and take a look at some of our other favorite Garnier products.
What inspired you to work with Garnier?I have been a fan of Garnier for a long time - I am quite selective about the brands I associate with - and this product is excellent. I use it every day to "de-glaze." Garnier was open to my creative vision for the project, and I collaborated with the brilliant director Symone Baptiste and one of my favorite comedians, Alison Leiby, to write the stand-up set. I could see that this company truly understands its audience and wants to build a genuine relationship with it. It felt right.
Was there something about the product [Micellar Water with Salicylic Acid] that surprised you?I was initially nervous about using it around my eyes - would it be too harsh? But it was surprisingly gentle. I use it every evening to "de-glaze."
Have you noticed any differences?I would say that my skin now feels very clean after consistently using the product. Micellar water can sometimes feel drying, but this doesn't at all.
Ilana Glazer, in her work with Garnier, leverages her creativity to develop a unique term, "de-glazing," for a simplified skincare solution in the fashion-and-beauty sector. This collaboration, rooted in a shared understanding and genuine relationship with the audience, extends to her broader interest in health-and-wellness, as Glazer uses the Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Purifying with Salicylic Acid daily for her lifestyle.
