St. Elisabeth Hospital Announces New Nursing Director

After a distinguished 46-year career in nursing, Detlef Prost is retiring from his position as nursing director at St. Elisabeth Hospital. Prost, who has been a pillar of the hospital's nursing team for many years, will be succeeded by Ricarda Radimerski.

Radimerski, who has been working as a nursing area manager at St. Elisabeth Hospital since 2021, has been appointed as Prost's successor. She brings 19 years of experience in patient care as a qualified nurse to her new role, and was instrumental in implementing the electronic patient record at Meerbusch Hospital.

Prost served as the nursing director at Meerbusch Hospital for 7 years before joining St. Elisabeth Hospital, and directed the nursing team at St. Elisabeth in a calm and considered manner. He was considered a reliable "caregiver" at the hospital due to his numerous tasks, and always had an eye for the essentials, radiating calm and security throughout the hospital.

At his farewell event, Prost expressed gratitude towards his colleagues and the hospital employees who attended, and wished Ricarda Radimerski success in her new position as nursing director. Julia Held, the commercial director, praised Prost's contributions to St. Elisabeth Hospital, saying he had moved the hospital forward with his expertise and experience.

Dr. Conrad Middendorf, the CEO of St. Elisabeth Hospital, also offered his congratulations to Radimerski on her appointment, acknowledging her passion for representing the concerns and interests of the nursing teams. Radimerski expressed enthusiasm for the new challenge and the opportunity to further develop St. Elisabeth Hospital.

The farewell event for Prost was attended by numerous hospital employees and members of the Franziskus Foundation. During his tenure at St. Elisabeth Hospital, Prost was significantly involved in the implementation of various projects, including the integration of international nursing staff, coordination of construction projects, and patient feedback management.

Radimerski, who is from Meerbusch, will take on more responsibility for the important professional groups in nursing, and is expected to continue Prost's legacy of leadership and dedication to the hospital and its patients.

Other professional groups in the health-and-wellness sector may benefit from Radimerski's medical-condition management experience and leadership skills in her new role, given her past achievements at Meerbusch Hospital. St. Elisabeth Hospital, under Radimerski's direction, intends to further advance in science and patient care, following Prost's footsteps in fostering a calm and secure environment for all its conditions.
