Heidelberg University's Safety Day: 'Rigged for all dangers'
Heidelberg University invites all employees, students, and guests to its annual Safety Day on September 24, 2025. Themed 'Prepared for all dangers', the event promises a comprehensive look into various safety aspects, from fire protection to workplace strains.
The day will kick off with a bike check and bike coding, encouraging sustainable commuting. The Heidelberg Fire Department will be on hand to demonstrate high rescue techniques and showcase modern rescue equipment. Participants can even try on a firefighter's uniform.
The 'Break Express' sports program will be available to promote movement in the workplace. An exhibition will display new occupational safety products, consulting services, and innovative safety solutions. The Safety Department, the point of contact for all workplace safety queries, will be present to offer guidance.
The event will cover a wide range of topics, including health protection, hazardous substances, fire protection, traffic safety, and ergonomics. A varied lecture program will delve into laboratory safety, mental health, and more. The Occupational Safety Committee and the Safety Commission, advisory bodies involving the safety department, will also be involved.
