On Tuesday, fitness enthusiasts across the UK were invited to join PureGym in celebrating National Fitness Day at all 435 of its locations. The event aimed to inspire many people to enjoy the benefits of being active, according to James Gauduchon, the company's group customer and marketing director.

PureGym opened its doors to both members and guests, offering free access to its gyms and introducing three new group fitness classes: Strike, Step, and Pump. These new classes reflect evolving members' needs and make group fitness more accessible, as the company strives to cater to different fitness preferences.

Strike is an MMA-inspired non-contact class with HIIT and functional training, providing a high-intensity workout. Step, on the other hand, is a choreographed cardio workout suitable for beginners and advanced steppers alike. Pump is a resistance-based strength session using weights for a total body workout.

In addition to the new classes, the event included fitness challenges, tasters of the new classes, free access to fitness equipment, and personal trainers on hand to guide participants. The day also marked the launch of PureGym's partnership with Sir Chris Hoy, The Institute of Cancer Research, and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As part of this partnership, PureGym is offering free one-year memberships and structured exercise plans to thousands of men with advanced prostate cancer.

PureGym is proud to open its doors to everyone to celebrate National Fitness Day. The company is excited to welcome members and thousands of first-time visitors to trial the new classes and facilities on offer. By offering free access to fitness equipment, personal trainers, and group fitness classes, PureGym hopes to encourage more people to embrace an active lifestyle.
