Guide on Utilizing Meningococcal B (MenB) Vaccination for Prevention of Gonorrhea
Starting from the 1st of August 2025, a new Meningococcal B (Men B) vaccination aimed at reducing gonorrhoea infections among gay, bisexual, and men who have sex with men (GBMSM) will be offered at specialist sexual health services across England.
The UK Health Security Agency has made resources available to support this immunisation programme. These resources, including a Men B record card, guidance leaflets, and a poster, can be ordered and downloaded from the Health Publications section of their website.
The Men B record card, with product code GON25EN, is essential for tracking the vaccinated individual's information, including their name, the date of vaccination, and the date of the second appointment for the final dose of the Men B vaccine.
The guidance leaflets, available with product code MGB01EN, provide valuable information on what gonorrhoea is, how it's transmitted, how the vaccine works, eligibility, vaccination schedule, and the importance of the second dose. These leaflets should be given to eligible individuals before their vaccination.
A poster (product code MGP01) is also available to support vaccination promotion and patient information in sexual health clinics and healthcare settings. These resources are intended to provide information and reminders, such as the importance of receiving the second vaccine dose for optimal protection.
To access these resources, users must register and place an order through the Health Publications section of the UK Health Security Agency's website or contact them via their provided telephone number, 0300 123 1002. Translations of the leaflet will be available soon.
The Health Publications orderline is based at the UK Health Security Agency, 61 Colindale Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 5EQ. For more information or assistance with ordering, users can visit the Health Publications contact form available at https://www.healthpubl...
