Funds amounting to approximately 1.17 million euros designated for local meetings regarding nursing practices
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Integration in Baden-Württemberg has announced the third funding round of the "Stärken kommunaler Pflegekonferenzen BW - Denken und Netzwerke ausweiten" programme, allocating approximately 1.17 million euros to support the development of municipal care conferences across the region.
This funding will benefit 33 municipal care conferences in 34 cities and districts, including the city and district of Rottweil, which will receive 40,000 euros. However, the full list of all cities and districts receiving funding in this round has not been specified.
The municipal care conferences are playing a significant role in improving people's daily lives, enabling them to stay in their familiar environment for as long as possible. These conferences are networking with the Municipal Health Conferences and collaborating with coordination offices for care professions.
The collaboration of all actors in the care sector locally is being further deepened with the approved funds. Notably, the city of Ulm and the Alb-Donau district are working together in a joint municipal care conference.
Minister for Social Affairs, Health, and Integration Manne Lucha stated that the municipal care conferences have proven themselves, bringing together actors in the care sector and developing solutions for needs-based care provision locally. The funding is a first tranche, with further funding expected for the continuation of the municipal care conferences.
Additional follow-up funding for the municipal care conferences is available from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. The application deadline for the second tranche to establish new municipal care conferences is September 30, 2025.
The programme aims to promote the further development of existing structures and achieve goals such as effective social planning, stronger networking, support for neighbourhood-based care, further development of short-term care, and digital transformations in long-term care.
Care is being improved step by step with the approved funds. The state is betting on strong local networks with the approved funds, as these conferences are making visible where action is needed, setting priorities, and driving concrete improvements.
