Form coach accuses Alex Cooper of serious misconduct
In a heart-wrenching confession, Alex Cooper, podcast queen and brainchild of The Unwell media network, has accused her ex-coach from Boston University's soccer team, Nancy Feldman, of sexual harassment. Cooper opens up about her ordeal in her latest Hulu series, Call Her Alex, screened at the Tribeca Festival in NYC.
Alex shares her harrowing tale of Feldman's obsession during her college's second year. Feldman's fixation was more on Cooper than any other teammate, leaving her bewildered. The harassment, according to Cooper, consisted of Feldman inquiring about her dating life, body-shaming comments, and a persistent desire to be alone with her.
Cooper casually mentions that Feldman also had a habit of commenting on her legs, resting her hand on Cooper's thighs, and on one occasion, even asked if she had had sex the previous night. Cooper describes these encounters as a sick game of innuendo and manipulation, referring to it as a "psychotic cat-and-mouse."
Taking cues from a private meeting, Feldman is said to have questioned Cooper about her sex life and insisted on riding alone with her to her night class, further adding to Cooper's sense of discomfort.
Cooper shares that her silence was due to her full-tuition scholarship at BU. She felt pressured to maintain Feldman's favour and feared the consequences of speaking up. But now, inspired by other women's stories, Cooper is ready to shed light on her ordeal and encourage others to stand up against such abuse. Call Her Alex is Cooper's platform for speaking out and raising awareness about abuse.
