Following the cancellation, a new demonstration date for Laumann's show in Hamminkeln has been announced.
On Thursday, August 12, 2025, Karl-Josef Laumann, the Minister of Health for North Rhine-Westphalia, visited the St-Josef-Haus in Dingden, Hamminkeln, to discuss "Health and Intergenerational Well-being". The event, titled „Gemeinsame Verantwortung für Stadt und Land“ (Common Responsibility for City and Countryside), was organised by the CDU and focused on future topics such as care and medical provision in rural areas.
The event, which took place from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, was open to all interested citizens. Sascha Lippe, the local CDU mayoral candidate, served as the moderator, and Charlotte Quik, the CDU state parliament member for Hamminkeln, was also in attendance.
CDU Chairman Norbert Neß expressed his satisfaction with the quick replacement date for the event, which was initially scheduled for August 12 but had to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. The event was not a typical evening event, offering citizens the opportunity to enjoy a coffee or a cool drink during the discussion.
Karl-Josef Laumann's visit was part of a thematic series emphasising health and generational happiness, highlighting the shared responsibilities across urban and rural communities for sustainable healthcare and social well-being. The timing of the visit, just before local elections, indicates political engagement on these key social issues.
