Fifth-generation family member Anandamayi Bajaj makes history as the initial female leader to join the Bajaj Group, following in the footsteps of her ancestor Shri Jamnalal Bajaj.
The Bajaj Group, one of India's oldest and most respected business houses, has welcomed a new member to its leadership team. Anandamayi Bajaj, the granddaughter of the legendary founder, Shri Jamnalal Bajaj, has joined the conglomerate as the fifth-generation scion.
At just 22 years old, Anandamayi brings a sharp intellect, global exposure, and a deep-rooted commitment to the Bajaj legacy. A graduate from Columbia University with a degree in Financial Economics and Mathematics, she is poised to make a significant impact in the $2.5-billion diversified conglomerate, which has an asset base of over $5 billion and employs more than 12,000 people.
Anandamayi is the daughter of Chairman Mr. Kushagra Nayan Bajaj and is the first woman leader in the history of the Bajaj Group. In a heartfelt message, Kushagra Nayan Bajaj expressed his pride in Anandamayi's role, stating that she will uphold the spirit of excellence and continue the family's legacy of trust, transformation, and nation-building.
Anandamayi is excited to contribute meaningfully, grow through this journey, and take on greater operational responsibilities by the end of 2025. She will start her full-time role from the Group's Mumbai office and looks forward to learning from the outstanding teams across businesses in the Bajaj Group.
Anandamayi will work closely with the leadership teams of Bajaj Energy, Bajaj Consumer, and Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar. The Bajaj Group's current fourth-generation leaders include Kushagra Nayan Bajaj (Chairman), Sanjiv Bajaj (financial services leadership), and Anandamayi Bajaj (strategic role). These members reflect the group’s continuation of family leadership into its fourth generation, with responsibilities spanning broad business segments and ushering in diversity and innovation.
