Fatal Accident at Saxony Station: Employee Slips into Tanker Car and Passes Away

Sohland an der Spree - A 54-year-old worker met his demise in a workplace accident at the station in Sohland an der Spree after falling into a tank car of a freight train.
According to a spokesperson for the Police Directorate of Goerlitz, the incident occurred around 11:40 AM. The worker's lifeless body was later discovered in the tank, filled with biodiesel. Subsequent resuscitation attempts proved futile.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with photographs showing numerous personnel working near the freight train. A rescue helicopter also landed on the station grounds.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal accident, with the Criminal Police currently spearheading the inquiry.
Initial reports suggest that the worker fell into the tank car for unknown reasons, though details are scarce due to ongoing investigations and privacy concerns.
