She adds, "Then, everything seems feasible once more, and hope allows me to envision a future where we beat this beast together." She's young, "I've still got a lifetime ahead of me. I don't want to say goodbye to anything or anyone. I enjoy living." Her daughter, born just seven months before her cancer diagnosis, acts as her driving force, inspiring her to fight for every extra moment she can. Her husband, Dan, in the same interview, expresses his unwavering belief in a miracle.
Patrice Aminati's Battle Against Cancer
Back in early May, Patrice opened up about her battle against cancer in an interview with "Die Zeit." She revealed she was "in palliative care," and her cancer was considered incurable. In March 2023, she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a dangerous form of skin cancer. Numerous metastases have since been discovered. When speaking with "Die Zeit", she discussed the pill regimen that becomes her daily routine: "I take 21 pills every day. The number varies—as few as possible, as many as necessary."
In March, Patrice and Dan also shared their hopes and dreams with magazine "Bunte." The newlyweds, who tied the knot in 2022, hope to exchange vows again. As Dan revealed, "I'd like to renew our vows on April 27, 2027—our wedding anniversary and Patricia's birthday—and celebrate our love once more."
