E-40, the King of Clowns, Celebrates 40 Years of Laughter Despite Health Challenges
Felipe, better known as E-40, the King of Clowns in San Luis Potosí, has been entertaining audiences for four decades. Despite health challenges and the pandemic, his passion for clowning remains undiminished.
E-40's journey began at the Primavera Potosina festival in Villa de Reyes. He brought laughter as Clavillazo, Resortes, and Cantinflas, marking his first opportunity as a clown. Since then, he has performed in numerous television programs and clown conventions, elevating San Luis Potosí's name nationally.
His unique costumes, crafted from old curtains and a red plastic nose, have become his signature. However, several surgeries, including knee and heart operations, as well as a COVID-19 hospitalization, have temporarily halted his performances. Despite these setbacks, E-40's love for clowning keeps him going. He has been named King of Clowns in cities like Zacatecas, Sinaloa, Mexico City, and Puebla, a testament to his dedication and skill.
E-40, now residing in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, continues to be a pioneer in clowning. Though the pandemic brought challenges, including psychological strain from not performing, his passion remains unyielding. With 40 years of experience, E-40 continues to bring joy as the King of Clowns.
