Former Tennis Player Selima Sfar Accuses French Coach of Abuse

Selima Sfar, a former Tunisian tennis player, made headlines when she accused her former French tennis coach, Regis de Camaret, of inappropriate behavior during her time training at his school in Biarritz.

According to Sfar, the traumatic incident occurred during one of her journeys from Tunis to Bordeaux. De Camaret had picked her up at the airport a few months after she had started at the school. The exact details of the incident are not clear, but Sfar claims that the abuse continued for almost three years.

Sfar was just 12 years old at the time of the incident, and she did not understand what was happening. Once they arrived at De Camaret's house, Sfar stayed on the sofa bed while De Camaret went to his room.

After the incident, Sfar moved to London and continued her training, dedicating six hours a day to the sport. Despite the hardships she faced, Sfar was disciplined in her training and made it to the top 100 in tennis rankings.

Sfar's bravery in speaking out about her experiences has inspired many, and her story serves as a reminder of the importance of speaking up against abuse. However, it is important to note that there have been no verified reports or public records of legal proceedings or investigations related to the allegations against De Camaret.
