Charity collection led by railroad workers in Zabucalli yields over 3.3 million rubles

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Zabaykalsk Railway and residents of the Amur region came together to organise the charity run "Reaching Goals!". The event, which took place on August 2nd in multiple locations, including Chita, Khilok, Karymsk, Shilka, Chernyshevsk, Mogoch, Skovorodino, Magdagachi, Svobodny, Belogorsk, Borzya, and Zabaykalsk, managed to raise an impressive sum of over 3.3 million rubles.

The funds raised from this charity run have been put to good use, with the funds transferred being utilised for high-tech operations, the purchase of expensive multifunctional electric wheelchairs, and other necessary rehabilitation equipment. The goal of the charity run was to help 12 children in need of expensive treatment, medical supplies, and rehabilitation.

One of the children who will benefit from the funds raised is 10-year-old Timur Farbotko from Belogorsk (Amur Oblast), who needs treatment at the Moscow Center for the Implementation of Advanced Medical Technologies "PlanetMed". Another child in need is 15-year-old Lyudmila Kolesnikova from the village of Margucek (Zabaykalsky Krai), who needs rehabilitation at the Institute of the Human Brain named after N.P. Bechtereva in St. Petersburg.

Six-year-old Anastasia Sergeyeva from the village of Magdagachi (Amur Oblast) and 5-year-old Yaraslava Skornyakova from Krasnokamensk (Zabaykalsky Krai) are also among the children who will receive the much-needed help. Anastasia requires treatment and rehabilitation at the medical center in Chita, while Yaraslava needs two rehabilitation courses in Chita as well.

It's worth noting that donations to charitable foundations are still coming in, and over the past 9 years, railway employees have transferred a total of over 26 million rubles for various medical needs in Russia and abroad.

While there are no publicly available details about the "Reaching Goals!" charity run, such as the recipients of donations or the total amount raised so far, it's clear that the event has made a significant difference in the lives of these children in need. For more information on this specific charity event, it may be necessary to consult local news outlets, official charity organization reports, or community announcements directly associated with Zabaykalsk Railway.
