In a heartwarming display of community support, a city cycling event held in Kaarst, Germany, recently raised funds for "TOMASZ - Children and Youth Hospice Support Kaarst". This organisation provides essential hospice care to seriously ill children and young people across Germany.

The event, organised by the CDU team, saw the participation of local community members, including Dr. Klaus Gerdes and Markus Steins. Dr. Gerdes found the experience fun and rewarding, expressing his satisfaction with the event's positive impact.

The city cycling event, which took place within the city limits, involved participants cycling through designated routes. The total distance covered during the event was an impressive 1,886 kilometers. The proceeds from registration fees, sponsorships, and donations were directed towards TOMASZ, helping to enhance their care services, resources, and facilities.

The donation was presented to Tomasz Goralski, the founder of TOMASZ, by Dr. Gerdes and Markus Steins. Goralski expressed his gratitude for the event participants' support, highlighting the crucial role such events play in fulfilling the last wishes of terminally ill children and young people.
