Bull Gores 76-Year-Old Man in Pantoja's Santa Barbara Festivities
Tensions ran high during the patron saint festivities in Pantoja, Toledo, honouring Santa Barbara. A 76-year-old local resident remains in critical condition after a bull charged and gored him during the event.
The incident occurred when a bull retreated to the bull run route and violently attacked the elderly man. The force of the charge threw him against the barriers. Emergency services swiftly arrived and transported him to the ICU of the Toledo University Hospital.
The municipality has been left shaken by the incident, which has cast a shadow over the otherwise joyous celebrations.
The 76-year-old victim continues to fight for his life in the ICU. Authorities are investigating the incident to prevent such occurrences in future festivities.
