Asia-Pacific's Personalized Nutrition Market Booms, Driven by Plant-Based Protein and Digital Tools

The Asia-Pacific region is witnessing a surge in personalized nutrition, with consumers increasingly seeking tailored health and fitness solutions. This trend is driven by a rising middle class, wellness tourism, and growing demand for sustainable, high-protein food products. Major industry players are investing in plant-based protein and functional foods to cater to this shift.

Leading the market are large multinational food corporations and fast-growing local players, particularly in China. Despite no clear top three companies being listed, these giants are increasingly focusing on plant-based protein and functional foods due to rising health awareness.

In the UK, Zoe, a startup offering at-home nutrition testing, raised an additional $15 million in 2022, bringing its total funding to $118 million. This investment reflects the growing demand for personalized nutrition, which is expected to nearly double in size from $15.8 billion in 2025 to $31 billion by 2030.

Digital tools and platforms, such as mobile apps and wearables, are the fastest-growing segment of this market. Whoop's launch of Advanced Labs, a blood-testing platform that integrates lab results with wearable insights, has generated significant demand. Similarly, Myoform's genetically personalized supplement platform has reported performance gains of up to 23.5% in beta testing. Active measurement tools, like those tracking blood glucose and microbiome activity, are further driving this growth.

RxDiet, a New York-based AI-powered 'food as medicine' platform, secured $3 million in seed funding to expand its services. Meanwhile, Superpower offers a $199 annual membership that includes over 100 biomarker tests and concierge-level medical support.

The Asia-Pacific region's personalized nutrition market is booming, with consumers and investors alike recognizing the value of tailored health solutions. As major players continue to invest in plant-based protein and functional foods, and digital tools advance, the market is set to nearly double in size by 2030.
