Apple's Fitness+ service will be accessible to iPhone owners in twenty-one nations this autumn.
Apple has announced several updates and new additions to its fitness service, Apple Fitness+. Here's a roundup of the latest news:
Expanded Compatibility
To enjoy the newest features, Apple Fitness+ can now be used with Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 9, paired with an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16, an iPad with iPadOS 16, or Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD with tvOS 16. Fitness+ subscribers without an Apple TV can use AirPlay to stream workouts or meditations on third-party devices with watchOS 9, and onscreen metrics are now available on compatible third-party devices.
New Trainers and Content
Dice Iida-Klein, with 15 years of experience teaching yoga around the world, is the newest addition to the Fitness+ trainer team. She will be joined by a diverse group of celebrities in the fourth season of Time to Walk and Time to Run, including Regina Hall, Nicky Jam, Leslie Jordan, Ade Adepitan, Constance Wu, and Meghan Trainor.
Time to Run, an audio running experience, will add new episodes featuring popular running routes in iconic locations like Yellowstone National Park, Mexico City, Anchorage, Alaska, Monterey, California, Seattle, and Queenstown, New Zealand.
Enhanced Workouts
With watchOS 9, Fitness+ workouts display additional onscreen guidance, including Intensity for HIIT, Cycling, Rowing, and Treadmill; Strokes per Minute (SPM) for Rowing; Revolutions per Minute (RPM) for Cycling; and Incline for walkers and runners in Treadmill.
The Artist Spotlight series on Apple Fitness+ will feature new workouts with the music of Mary J. Blige, The Rolling Stones, and The Weeknd. Apple Fitness+ is also introducing its newest Collection, Pilates for More Than Your Core, featuring a curation of 20- and 30-minute Pilates workouts designed to strengthen the entire body using just a resistance band.
Availability and Pricing
Fitness+ is available in 21 countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, and the US. Three months of Apple Fitness+ are included for customers who purchase Apple Watch Series 4 or later, and one month of Fitness+ is included for existing Apple Watch users. Apple Fitness+ is available as a subscription service for $9.99 (US) per month or $79.99 (US) per year, and can be shared with up to five other family members.
From this autumn, Apple Fitness+ will also be available for iPhone users in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, and several other European countries.
Apple One Premier Plan
Fitness+ is included in the Apple One Premier plan, which gives customers access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and iCloud+ with 2TB of storage for $29.95 (US) per month, and can be shared with up to five other family members.
