Antonio Banderas, the renowned actor known for his roles in "The Mask of Zorro", "Desperado", and "Philadelphia", is keeping a busy schedule in 2025. Despite turning 65, Banderas shows no signs of slowing down.

In the summer, he was in Boston filming a biopic about the late chef Anthony Bourdain titled "Tony". Following this, he moved on to the Canary Islands to film a thriller called "Above and Below".

Banderas, who opened a theater in his hometown of Malaga, Spain, in 2019, continues to manage the venue. His passion for work is evident, as he expressed that he would cease to live if he were to stop working.

In addition to his acting projects, Banderas is pursuing new creative ventures. He has recently started music theory classes and even purchased a piano for himself, suggesting a broadening of his interests beyond acting.

It's worth noting that Banderas had a heart attack in 2017, but he shared that his doctors have given him the clearance to do whatever he wants. He also mentioned that he continues to do things that doctors might consider inadvisable, showing a defiant spirit.

As for the common retirement age of 65, Banderas stated that it is no longer applicable in current times. His commitment to his craft and his ongoing projects prove this point.

As of August 2025, no detailed future projects beyond "Tony" and "Above and Below" have been publicly confirmed. However, with Banderas's energy and determination, it's safe to say that we can expect more exciting projects from him in the future.
