Alleged Con-Artists Caught Swindling Amidst Corona-Test Scam
Accusations against perpetrators of deceptive practices in COVID-19 test distributions - Accusation of Fraud in Coronavirus Test Results
Hey there!
Talk about some sketchy characters! Two shady dudes are slapped with charges for their shenanigans at test centers across Upper Bavaria during the intense COVID-19 pandemic. The cat's out of the bag; these fellas were racking up bills for unperformed rapid tests and other expenses - all while the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVB) took a hefty loss of 367,000 euros as a direct consequence.
News of the charges against the 34 and 35-year-olds appeared when the Bavarian Central Office for Combating Corruption in the Healthcare System (ZKG) in Nuremberg spilled the beans. The court will be making the final call on whether or not the duo's trial gets the green light.
The twice-as-naughty duo stands accused of committing commercial computer fraud, with their alleged criminal activity taking place between February 2022 and March 2023. Fortunately, both men have been behind bars since last October and have yet to respond to the allegations.
