The company has allocated Rs 10 lakh for AI model research and is collaborating with a local IT company for development. Aarthi Scans uses AI for preliminary chest X-ray readings and is developing its own LLM-based AI models for proofreading and critical report analysis.
The company's business model is direct to the customer, targeting both upper and lower middle-class customers. It plans to expand its base in Tier 1 cities annually, with Mumbai and Lucknow slated for 8-10 clinics each. The cost to set up a diagnostic centre ranges from Rs 8-10 crore, including machine and maintenance costs.
Aarthi Scans and Labs plans to invest over Rs 300 crore to expand geographically and vertically. The company aims to open a centre in Lucknow by the end of the year and has earmarked Rs 10-20 crore for its Vital Insights department over two years. The company uses a deferred payment cycle for purchasing assets like CT and MRI scan machines, demonstrating its commitment to long-term growth and affordability.
